Overlanding & Camping at Komic

Overlanding & Camping site at Komic is really a beautiful place. This little hamlet is indeed heaven for nature and peace seekers.

Komic village is situated at an height of 4587 metres (15027 feet) above sea level. Komic was the highest village in the world connected with a motorable road. Langza village (also known as the Fossil Village of India) and Hikkim village (which happens to be the highest village with a post office) is hardly few kms from here. Like most of the villages in Spiti valley, most of the residents of Komic practice Budhism.

Kaza is located around 19 km from Komic. To reach Komic from Kaza, you’ll be traveling through Hikkim village, which is the most popular route. However, you can also travel from Langza village, which is slightly longer.

It’s a FREE site.

GPS location details available on paying administrative charges of INR 100.

There is small food join nearby, incase if you don’t feel like cooking.

4)  You will have to carry your own tent, food items & essentials required.

6) Please donate at least INR 300 to the local person whose land you use or help you take for camping.

7) Please don’t use any  loud music during the hike and also during your stay there.

8) Please clean up your camping spot before leaving.
