For as long as human beings have had faces to lift to the night sky, we’ve been awed by its lunation.

The energy of the moon, can be called in to help manifest a fledgling dream, call forth a lover, banish an enemy or cauterize an old but aching wound in one’s body and soul.

For mountain community of farmers and animal herders rituals in reverence for both the full and the new moon have been performed since time immemorial. Full moon is about release. Be thankful for the insistent beating of your own heart, bow to the ebbs and flows, failures and majesties, roses and thorns that mark the phases of the moon and the days of our lives within this universe.

This universal urge to connect with the celestial ecstasy of lunar cycle has taken us higher plateau of Garhwal Himalayas to reach closer to that favorite white illuminating dot on the forehead of her mysterious night sky.

We desire to share this extra special SUPERMOON experience with the Overlanders, trekkers, hikers, campers, filmmakers, photographers, bloggers and adventure loving travellers of the world.

Bugyals are alpine pasture lands, or meadows, in higher elevation ranges beyond 3,000 metres in the Himalayas. These alpine meadows are distinguished by the thick layer of velvety grass “Buggi Ghas” spread over a vast terrain either flat or sloped.

Once upon a time this 4 kms vast green meadow was home to Himalayan Tigers thus locals named this place as Baghi Bugyal. The tigers have long since migrated to the upper Himalayan region but the name still carries the thrill.

Bagzi Bugyal denotes a never ending journey through an infinite pastoral landscape keeping the mighty zeniths of Himalayas all around.

During snowfall in the winter from November till February Bagzi Bugyal is an amazing snow draped pastoral green land laid at the top of Himalaya at an altitude of 3250 metres.

Travellers’ eyes hover 360 degrees submerged in awestruck snow pageantry of Mount Trishuli, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghungti, Khamil Peak …
